Clean and elegant, yet cozy: Scandinavian “hygge" manifest in Tahoe.

This project offered the opportunity to strike a balance between open, clean and modern space with finishes that provide visual and visceral texture, resulting in a combined sense of clarity and ease, comfort and coziness. Upstairs, the open floor plan allows for overlap between the various functions of kitchen, dining, den and living, while the downstairs holds three bedrooms, with an emphasis on providing a peaceful and welcoming main suite, a getaway within the getaway. Custom casework throughout the project provided space to house and conceal modern technology and any “stuff,” optimizing the level of serenity seen and experienced.
